Braves Strike Past Springfield 3-0

Under the ominous skies hanging over the Shawnee soccer field lightning was about to strike, not once, or twice, but three times. Not literally, although the scrimmage versus Springfield was shortened due to thunderstorms, but figuratively with Shawnee Goals.
The first strike was a beautiful side net shot by Ben Ross(FR) who one-touched the crossing pass from Jay Caudill(SR) to give Shawnee a 1-0 lead after Springfield had controlled much of the early portion of the first half.
After the opening goal play evened out and allowed Caudill(SR) to score a goal as he dribbled across the Springfield back line.
Dalton Tuttle(SR) played well as goalkeeper as he kept Springfield scoreless despite numerous opportunities.
This win for the Boys Soccer team is a big indicator for what is to come as there were many mysteries surrounding the young tema entering the season. Make sure to follow the Boys team here on Braves Sports Blog and cheer them on as they battle in the CBC.
